I learned a lot about clay from the videos in class. Here are some of the things I learned:
- You have to have your arm and wrist in a certain position to prevent injury.
- You have to make sure to get all of the air bubbles out before working with your clay.
- You have to make sure to get the clay directly in the center of the wheel.
- You can make designs in the clay with different objects like a fork.
Doug Reynolds:
- Doug Reynolds is potter from Waverly, Iowa. He has his own studio called Reynolds Pottery and Arts where he makes his pottery. He got his education in pottery at Kendall School of Design, the University of Northern Iowa, and Wartburg. He sells and shows his work at a variety of art festivals.
