I personally was not a fan of this project. I didn't like the idea of the project or actually trying to create a picture. For my narrative I said "In 100 years we will have to resort to living underground. The world above was ruined by biological warfare. We will dig tunnels and use the sewers to get around. We have to survive using the small amount of resources we have left." I was thinking along the lines of the Hunger Games and I thought of district 13. They thought that they were dead but really were underground. When I started my project I decided that I wanted to use SketchBook because I was more familiar with it. I started drawing over a picture of me but then I decided it was easier to just draw without it.
I love your narrative, it's really cool. I also like how you referred to a movie that inspired your work, I did the same thing, but a different movie of course,
Aubrey, I'm sorry to hear that you did not particularly like the project. However, I think the narrative that you wrote was great! You made ties to other pop culture references and applied them to your own work helping you to create a new world for yourself. I also liked that you were problem solving ways to make the project, but I didn't see any photos posted. I would have loved to see your final portrait!

Hey Aubrey,
My name is Cortnee Meyers. I am a college student at The University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. I am going to school to become a physical education teacher. I enjoyed your post. I liked that even though you didn't like the project, you still did it. I haven't seen the movie Hunger Games, but I've heard it's good. I may need to watch it so I understand your reference. Good Job!
Thank you,
Cortnee Meyers
Aubrey, I think it's really cool that you inspired your idea by the Hunger Games. Since that book is set in the future, it was a good idea to use that to help you think of an idea. Also, I think it's interesting that you chose to stop drawing over the picture of you because you thought it was harder. I would have thought it'd be easier!
